In the Kursk region, FSB officers detained a local resident who was preparing explosions in crowded places, the special service said. The FSB clarified that the detainee was connected with the special services of Ukraine.

“The FSB, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained a resident of the Kursk region, who, in agreement with the special services of Ukraine, intended to carry out explosions on the territory of one or several infrastructure facilities in the city of Kursk with a mass concentration of people»,— reported in the service.

The purpose of the conceived terrorist attacks was to “destabilize the situation”, as well as pressure on the authorities to stop the special military operation in Ukraine, the FSB specified. During a search, “two homemade explosives, a traumatic weapon with cartridges and Nazi literature” were seized from the detainee.
