Nicki Minaj and Quavo Goes On Diner Date In “She For Keeps” Video

Nicki Minaj and Quavo goes on a dinner date in the colorful video for “She For Keeps.”

The duo collaborated on the single last year and the visuals has been a long time coming. The retro cut was filmed from back in August of last year and is only being premiered at the start of the new year. The DAPS and Quavo-directed video saw the Migos rapper and Nicki Minaj going on a date where they were seated at a table designed out of a classic car.

The retro style video pays homage to the 1980s and 90s with some classic items like the original Nintendo gaming system and The Source’s Ice Cube cover from 1991. The cut started out with Quavo dressed in a neon outfit with his Reebok Pump sneaker and bright green fanny pack. You will also see Nicki Minaj making a phone call using the old school rotary phone. The pair meet up for diner where they were seated in an old school drop top Chevy.

The single “She For Keeps” was released in December as part of the Control the Streets, Vol. 1 compilation album released by Quality Control. Nicki Minaj is currently working on her new album and Migos is currently working on Culture 2, which is due this month. The two also collaborated on the single “MotorSport” with the rest of the Migos clan and Cardi B.

Big Sean & Metro Boomin Album ‘Double or Nothing’ First Week Sales Projected

Big Sean and Metro Boomin‘s joint album Double or Nothing is the hottest new project out this week.

Despite getting mixed reviews among hip hop fans, the album is project to move 60,000 plus album equivalent units in the first week and could debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Roughly around 10,000 to 13,000 of those sales will be from traditional album sales. While these numbers are nothing to brag about, we should also bare in mind that we are living in a singles driven era where album sales are on the decline and music consumers are mostly streaming the songs that they like.

Another hip hop album released this week that’s worth noting is Quality Control’s compilation project Control The Streets, Vol. 1. The album is expected to move close to the same numbers that Big Sean and Metro Boomin is expected to move. The album is expected to move 55,000 to 60,000 copies with 5,000 plus of those being traditional album sales.

Earlier this year, Big Sean scores a Billboard 200 number one album when he released I Decided. The project sold 151,000 copies in the first week and has since been certified platinum. The official sale figures for these new projects will be made available next weekend, but so far these are mere projections and the final count could be higher or a lot less.

Earlier this week, they made another announcement that it will arrive on Friday and they made good on their promise. The 10-track LP saw guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Swae Lee, and Kash Doll. The Detroit rapper got roasted on Twitter yesterday for a few lines on one of the single where he raps about smoking a blunt with civil rights icon Rosa Parks.
