Wale – Good To Great (feat. Phil Ade)

[Intro: Wale]
I got every right to feel myself, right, baby?
True story, right?
I told her I’d pick her up, she said, “Cool”
She said, “What time,” I said, “2”
Then she asked me what time she’d be back
I said, “2:30”
She said, “Pssh, like that?”
I said, “Pssh, I’ve been like that”
That’s a whole tomorrow, plus I threw in thirty
So grab your Louis ‘cause time’s burning

[Pre-Chorus: Wale]
Ain’t tryna do much
But you know the bottles on us
The bottles ain’t much, you’re smiling too much
I’m tryna do somethin’, yeah
I’m probably too much
I party too much
In the parkin’ lot, the lobby to the plane
4 to 4:30, it’s over one day

[Chorus: Wale]
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can make her good, good, good, good

[Verse 1: Wale]
Show some support, yeah
A real one across the board, yeah
Chill, shawty, I know you annoyed, look
They comic books to you, I’m Rob Report
Mi amor, I’m popular
I’m not a heartthrob, but the broads in love, yeah
At the club, the bosanova
Them Barry’s a moment
Won’t embarrass you, baby girl
But them broads with us
Telly is goin’ spill
I hit it to Lauryn Hill
I really fix up your swag
I get all your old bags and give it to Goodwill, woo!

[Bridge: Phil Ade]
She don’t think, just go with it
A little drink, little smoke with it
Do anything for a dollar though
If she want it, then she gon’ get it
Have another, girl, it’s on me
Bet you’ll get drunk, then call me
In the club all night long
This how it goes when the lights off

[Pre-Chorus: Wale]
Ain’t tryna do much
But you know the bottles on us
The bottles ain’t much, you’re smiling too much
I’m tryna do somethin’, yeah
I’m probably too much
I party too much
In the parkin’ lot, the lobby to the plane
4 to 4:30, it’s over one day

[Chorus: Wale]
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can make her good, good, good, good

[Verse 2: Wale]
Show me your worth, mmm
Double Cs you put in your purse, cute
Hermes might get you the Birkin
I give you the world if you intelligent first
Get your confidence and your relevance up, mmm
Tell younger women it’s better to love, mmm
I’m trine keep all our chemistry good
We mentally good
If it’s negative energy I’m gonna give you the deuce
You really a real one
So I’m givin’ you real love
And I tell you look good
You lookin’ at IG, you tell me it ain’t enough
You lie

[Bridge: Phil Ade]
She don’t think, just go with it
A little drink, little smoke with it
Do anything for a dollar though
If she want it, then she gon’ get it
Have another, girl, it’s on me
Bet you’ll get drunk, then call me
In the club all night long
This how it goes when the lights off

[Pre-Chorus: Wale]
Ain’t tryna do much
But you know the bottles on us
The bottles ain’t much, you’re smiling too much
I’m tryna do somethin’, yeah
I’m probably too much
I party too much
In the parkin’ lot, the lobby to the plane
4 to 4:30, it’s over one day

[Chorus: Wale]
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can turn her good to great in one day
I can make her good the great in one day
I can make her good, good, good, good

Cardi B Says Vybz Kartel Is Her Favorite Artist Of All Time

No it’s not Offset, Cardi B calls Vybz Kartel her favorite artist of all time.

Offset shouldn’t be jealous because he gets to sleep next to her. It’s no secret that Cardi B is a huge dancehall fan and Vybz Kartel represents the pinnacle of the genre so it’s no surprise either that he is her favorite artist. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was in Jamaica last week to shoot a music video for a song with Rvssian and reggaeton artist Ozuna. There are already rumors of a collaboration with Vybz Kartel in the works and that was likely orchestrated by Rvssian.

Cardi B posted a screenshot of a post Vybz Kartel made on Instagram last month giving her a big shoutout. “I can cry @vybzkartel is my favorite artist of all time Me and my friends teenagehood was all about dancing to @vybzkartel #FreeVybz,” she wrote. Bardi also regularly post videos of herself vibing Vybz Kartel songs.

Cardi B is the biggest success story in hip hop this year thanks to her breakout hit single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).” The song peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the second woman in history to top the chart with a solo record. The first female artist to achieve that success was Lauryn Hill in 1998. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star is currently working on her debut album.

Vybz Kartel continues to make his mark on dancehall six years after his incarceration. Over the last two months alone, he has released enough music to make two albums and almost all of his new singles have been hits in the dancehall space. Kartel is currently awaiting his appeal trial in February next year and he is also working on an upcoming project, due early next year.

I can cry ? @vybzkartel is my favorite artist of all time .Me and my friends teenagehood was all about dancing to @vybzkartel !!! #FreeVybz @hennessycarolina @hoodcelebrityy @lovelyyliliam

Cardi B Wins Best New Artist At 2017 BET Hip Hip Awards

Cardi B won the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards for Best New Artist.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper has been having a great year and is currently sitting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the last two weeks. The former Love and Hip Hop New York stat attended the award ceremony at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami with her boyfriend Offset from rap group Migos. During her acceptance speech, she thanked her fans, her family, her label Atlantic and Offset for supporting her.

Cardi B got a taste of hip hop history last month when she became the first female since Lauryn Hill to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with a solo single. “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” has been one of the hottest rap songs on the planet this year and Cardi B is already under pressure to prove that she is not a one hit wonder. Rap fans are already weighing in on her BET Hip Hop Awards win and they are divided. Of course you have the usual critics and then you have some who are loyal supporters, but what are those in the middle saying?

“Why is everybody on Cardi B’s nuts?” one fan wrote. “One song and she’s the best new artist? LOL. Everyone’s so happy for her just cus she’s a female. I’ve never heard any new male artist get the love she’s gotten.”

“I agree she didn’t deserve it but everybody is naming all these “rappers” that should have won but they’re just as garbage as she is so it really doesn’t matter,” another said.

Earlier this week, Cardi B teases a new single on her IG account and it sounds like it’s a worthy follow-up to “Bodak Yellow.” “Used to dance in the club right across from my school / I said dance, not fuck, don’t get it confused / Had to set the record straight, ’cause bitches love to assume,” she raps.

Azealia Banks Criticized Cardi B Says She Is No Nicki Minaj

Azealia Banks is perhaps the only female rapper on the planet right now who did not congratulate Cardi B on her No. 1 record on Billboard.

From Nicki all the way back to the OGs like Lauryn Hill and Queen Latifa have all congratulate Cardi B yesterday, but Azealia Banks don’t feel like she deserves the W that she is getting right now. The Harlem rapper offloads a rant on Twitter calling the “Bodak Yellow” rapper a “poor man’s Nicki Minaj.”

“She’s only black when black want to include themselves in a success story,” Banks tweeted. “Because I thought she was going to be a Latina hottie and not a poor mans nicki. It went the other way now I’m over it.” She also blasted Charlamagne Tha God who she claimed is the reason why Cardi B got the number one song in the country. “Charlemagne and black men in hiphop should have gotten me, remy AND nicki a number one before they gave cardi or iggy one,” she continues.

Some hip hop fans think that Azealia Banks is just a bitter female rapper who ain’t got nothing going on for her. Charlamagne will likely give her donkey of the day for the hundredth time for these series of tweets. Even several of the male rappers like J. Cole and Kodak Black have offered their congratulations to Cardi B who created hip hop history this week when she became the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill to get a number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Cardi B responded saying that she will not let Azealia Banks take away her joy. “This is the happiest day of my life and no 1 will take this joy from me .I wish you sour patches a good day !Thats how happy I am,” she tweeted. “Every single FEMALE RAPPER CONGRATULATED ME TODAY .Is the best feeling cause I listened to ALL OF THEM.”

Money Moves This How Cardi B Celebrates Her Billboard No. 1 Single

“I don’t dance now I make money moves.” Cardi B is singing all the way to the bank after her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” reached No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Last week, Dancehallhiphop.com reported that Cardi B will overthrow Taylor Swift for the top spot on Billboard this week after “Bodak Yellow” shows strong sales over the past week. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star got the news from last week and posted a video of herself dancing. That was just the beginning of the celebration because her label Atlantic Records threw her a surprise party with some of her family and friends turning up.

“Thank you everybody I am very happy and I am very honored,” she said. “Especially since my family is here you know like at first I kept asking and I keep coming to the label like why is my sh*t not playing on the radio I do not understand whats going on and then they just be like you gotta keep working hard to get the record that big record. I said am going to do it am going to give you that record… And then it was just like when it hits the Billboard, you know I don’t know how this music industry work, but then am like everybody listening to this song. If it’s not on the Billboard then it really doesn’t matter.”

Atlantic Records reps said that Cardi B is one of the hardest working rappers in the business. She was also presented with her plagues for the achievement. This week Bardi also created history when she became the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill did it in the 1990s to have a lead number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She did it even before Nicki Minaj who scored No. 2 singles as lead but never reached number one.

“THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU ,I haven’t even showered son with all the running around I loveee you all each and everybody contributed for this .Ya made it happen for me !!!!! The number 1 WAY!!” Cardi B said on IG.

#cardib turning up. Her single "bodak yellow" bout to be #1 on the charts. Is she having the best year out of all the female rappers??

Cardi B Gets First Solo Billboard No. 1 Song Since Lauryn Hill As A Female Rapper

Cardi B creates hip hop history this week when she becomes the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill to score a solo Billboard number one single.

Cardi’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” is currently No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and she is dancing all the way to the bank because the track is the number one seller on digital media over the past week. Lauryn Hill scored a Billboard Hot 100 number one single as a solo act with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” on November 14, 1998. The song lead the chart for two weeks and helped cemented Hill as one of the greatest emcees of all time.

Other female rappers have achieved number one singles since Hill, but not as a solo artist. In 2001, Lil Kim earned a number one hit as part of the single “Lady Marmalade” with Mya, Pink, and Christina Aguilera. Female rapper Shawnna gets a number one in 2003 by being a guest on Ludacris hit single “Stand Up.” Iggy Azalea gets her first number one single when “Fancy” topped the chart in 2014, but she had help from Charli XCX. That track topped the chart for seven consecutive weeks. Nicki Minaj has yet to score her first Billboard Hot 100 number one single. She has several top ten songs and is the female artists with the most entries to the chart in history.

Cardi B also creates history by becoming the first female rapper to top the chart with their debut single. While Cardi B has released mixtapes before “Bodak Yellow” becomes a mega hit, that was the first time she ever scored a Billboard hit.

Atlantic Records threw a grand party for Cardi B to celebrate the occasion and presented her with her plaque. I said am going to do it am going to give you that record.”

Nicki Minaj congratulate Cardi on her success on Twitter saying, “Congratulations to a fellow NEW YAWKA on a RECORD BREAKING achievement. Bardi, this is the only thing that matters!!! Enjoy it??? @iamcardib”

Wale – Smile Lyrics

[Hook: Wale]
I got my family
And I got my squad
And as long as they got me
Then I’ll be just fine
So I give God the glory
Cause I have my child
And America don’t want me
That’s when I realized
That we on it, yeah
A reason to smile
I said we on it, yeah
A reason to smile
Said about to be O.D.’d, yeah
But we gon’ survive
That’s why we on it
A reason to smile

[Verse 1: Wale]
An impossible bigot slash misogynist is ’bout to run the whole damn thing
(Bout to run the whole damn thing)
And the ballot my sister filled in
In another city didn’t do a god-damn thing

[Bridge: Wale]
Shit Imma go crazy yeah
Imma go crazy yeah
Imma go crazy yeah
But I gotta do my god-damn thing

[Verse 2: Wale]
The Alt Rights hate us
Some back baby mommas hate us
We only learn half of the drama, other side crazy
On behalf of Charlamange I’m sure he ain’t trading sides
Maybe I should meet Tami Lauren, I’ll Lauryn Hill her
Trainor, she miseducated anyway
Prolly hate the color of my face
I’m just a young black rapping ass African
Ain’t never wanted to have it and now he has it his own way
I’m smoking purple, the law enforcement be murking brothers
The moon lit and I’m (?)
Its like you got a curse if your currency low
The world is a dirty fucking experiment
They don’t care if its hurting us
Black lives matter, ’cause black lives soccer practice
Can’t even imagine what would happen without phone cameras
Black lives matter, black love the dopest ever
Just wanna remind you, I think its time (?)

[Hook]
I got my family
And I got my squad
And as long as they got me
Then I’ll be just fine
So I give God the glory
Cause I have my child
And America don’t want me
That’s what I realized
That we on it, yeah
A reason to smile
I said we on it, yeah
A reason to smile
Said about to be O.D.’d, yeah
But we gon’ survive

Giving knowledge and uplifting our brothers and daughters
Is how this whole thing change
(Is how this whole thing change)
But the power that’s in the pussy or the dollar
Is enough to make us all insane

[Bridge]
Shit Imma go crazy yeah
Imma go crazy yeah
Imma go crazy yeah
But I gotta do my god-damn thing

[Verse 3: Phil Ade]
And I’ve been living like I got one
A couple hundred on me, still in the gold shotgun
You do the most, stop son
Our people not exempt
They in the land of the free
You in the land of free to an extent
Fuck that, Imma ruffle some feathers
Mess with the temperature, shuffle the weather
Fuck whoever (?)
Beef is whatever
Kill me, you die and I live forever
When you live without fear
It don’t get much better
Naw, hmm
Look at how far we done come
Look at the world we inspired
And look at the stars that we brung
They think that when that little big with starts that we done
They think because Hillary lost the cards will be Trump
You out you mind nigga

[Hook: Wale]
I got my family
And I got my squad
And as long as they got me
Then I’ll be just fine
So I give God the glory
Cause I have my child
And America don’t want me
That’s what I realized
That we on it, yeah
A reason to smile
I said we on it, yeah
A reason to smile
Said about to be O.D.’d, yeah
But we gon’ survive
That’s why we on it
A reason to smile

Kanye West – No More Parties In La (The Life Of Pablo Album)

[Intro: Johnny "Guitar" Watson & Junie Morrison]
La di da da-a, da-a (I like this flavor)
La da da da di da da-a, la-a
Let me tell you, I’m out here
From a very far away place
All for a chance to be a star
Nowhere seems to be too far

[Hook: Kanye West]
No more parties in L.A
Please, baby, no more parties in L.A., uh
No more parties in L.A
Please, baby, no more parties in L.A., uh
No more (Los Angeles)
Please (shake that body, party that bod-)
Please (shake that body, party that body)
Please (shake that body, party that body)

[Verse 1: Kendrick Lamar & Kanye West]
Hey baby you forgot your Ray Bans
And my sheets still orange from your spray tan
It was more than soft porn for the K-man
She remember my Sprinter, said "I was in the grape van"
Uhm, well cutie, I like your bougie booty
Come Erykah Badu me, well, let’s make a movie
Hell, you know my repertoire is like a wrestler
I show you the ropes, connect the dots
A country girl that love Hollywood
Mama used to cook red beans and rice
Now it’s Denny’s, 4 in the morning, spoil your appetite
Liquor pouring and niggas swarming your section with erection
Smoke in every direction, middle finger pedestrians
R&B singers and lesbians, rappers and managers
Music and iPhone cameras
This shit unanimous for you, it’s damaging for you, I think
That pussy should only be holding exclusive rights to me, I mean
He flew you in this motherfucker on first class
Even went out his way so you could check in an extra bag
Now you wanna divide the yam like it equate the math?
That shit don’t add up, you’re making him mad as fuck
She said she came out here to find an A-list rapper
I said baby, spin that round and say the alphabet backwards
You’re dealing with malpractice, don’t kill a good nigga’s confidence
Just cause he a nerd and you don’t know what a condom is
The head still good though, the head still good though
Make me say "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"
Make a nigga say big words and act lyrical
Make me get spiritual
Make me believe in miracles, Buddhist monks and Cap’n Crunch cereal
Lord have mercy, thou will not hurt me
Five buddies all herded up on a Thursday
Bottle service, head service, I came in first place
The opportunity, the proper top of breast and booty cheek
The pop community, I mean these bitches come with union fee
And I want two of these, moving units through consumer streets
Then my shoe released, she was kicking in gratuity
And yeah G, I was all for it
She said K Lamar, you kind of dumb to be a poet
I’mma put you on game for the lames that don’t know they’re a rookie
Instagram is the best way to promote some pussy

[Hook: Kanye West]
Scary
Scary
No more parties in L.A
Please, baby, no more parties in L.A

[Verse 2: Kanye West]
Friday night tryna make it into the city
Breakneck speeds, passenger seat something pretty
Thinking back to how I got here in the first place
Second class bitches wouldn’t let me on first base
A backpack nigga with luxury taste buds
And the Louis Vuitton store, got all of my pay stubs
Got pussy from beats I did for niggas more famous
When did I become A list? I wasn’t even on a list
Strippers get invited to where they only get hired
When I get on my Steve Jobs, somebody gon’ get fired
I was uninspired since Lauryn Hill retired
And 3 Stacks, man, you preach it to the choir
Any rumor you ever heard about me was true and legendary
I done got Lewinsky and paid secretaries
For all my niggas with babies by bitches
That use they kids as meal tickets
Not knowing the disconnect from the father
The next generation will be the real victims
I can’t fault ’em really
I remember Amber told my boy no matter what happens she ain’t going back to Philly
Back to our regularly scheduled programmin’
Of weak content and slow jammin’
But don’t worry, this one’s so jammin’
You know it, L.A., it’s so jammin’
I be thinkin’ every day
Mulholland Drive, need to put up some god damn barricades
I be paranoid every time
The pressure, the problem ain’t I be drivin’
The problem is I be textin’
My psychiatrist got kids that I inspired
First song they played for me was ’bout their friend that just died
Textin’ and drivin’ down Mulholland Drive
That’s why I’d rather take the 405
I be worried ’bout my daughter, I be worried ’bout Kim
But Saint is baby Ye, I ain’t worried ’bout him
I had my life threatened by best friends who had selfish intents
What I’m supposed to do?
Ride around with a bulletproof car and some tints?
Every agent I know, know I hate agents
I’m too black, I’m too vocal, I’m too flagrant
Something smellin’ like shit, that’s the new fragrance
It’s just me, I do it my way, bitch
Some days I’m in my Yeezys, some days I’m in my Vans
If I knew y’all made plans I wouldn’t have popped the Xans
I know some fans who thought I wouldn’t rap like this again
But the writer’s block is over, emcees cancel your plans
A 38-year-old 8-year-old with rich nigga problems
Tell my wife that I hate the Rolls so I don’t never drive it
It took 6 months to get the Maybach all matted out
And my assistant crashed it soon as they backed it out
God damn, got a bald fade, I might slam
Pink fur, got Nori dressing like Cam, thank God for me
Whole family gettin’ money, thank God for E!
I love rockin’ jewelry, a whole neck full
Bitches say he funny and disrespectful
I feel like Pablo when I’m workin’ on my shoes
I feel like Pablo when I see me on the news
I feel like Pablo when I’m workin’ on my house
Tell ’em party’s in here, we don’t need to go out
We need the turbo thots, high speed, turbo thots
Drop-dro-dro-dro-drop it like Robocop
She brace herself and hold my stomach, good dick’ll do that
She keep pushin’ me back, good dick’ll do that
She push me back when the dick go too deep
This good dick’ll put your ass to sleep
Get money, money, money, money
Big, big money, money, money, money
And as far as real friends, tell all my cousins I love ’em
Even the one that stole the laptop, you dirty motherfucker

[Bridge: Larry Graham]
I just keep on lovin’ you, baby
And there’s no one else I know who can take your place

[Hook: Kanye West]
Please, no more parties in L.A
Please, baby, no more parties in L.A., uh
No more parties in L.A
Please, baby, no more parties in L.A., uh
No more parties in L.A
Please, baby, no more parties in L.A., uh
No more (Los Angeles)

[Outro: Junie Morrison]
I’m out here from a very far away place
All for a chance to be a star
Nowhere seems to be too far
