Carrie Underwood Enlists Her Son’s Help for Latest Workout After Fall

Carrie Underwood is getting back to fighting form after her accident with a little help from her husband and son!

In November, the 34-year-old  suffered a “hard fall” on steps outside her home, breaking her wrist and—as she revealed over New Year’s Day—also injuring her face, which prompted her to receive more than 40 facial stitches.

On Saturday, the Grammy winner posted two adorable photos, one working out alongside her son, Isaiah, 2, and the other of her hubby, NHL player Mike Fisher, who is coming out of retirement to play hockey for the Nashville Predators this season, and the tot.

“My boys make work outs fun (and a bit less productive, but that’s ok)! #StayThePath,” wrote the singer.

At the time of the November injury, her rep gave a statement to E! News, “On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home. While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated. She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall.”

The rep added that Underwood’s husband “was able to make it back into town that night to be with her and she was released from the hospital.” “Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes.”

Three weeks ago, Underwood posted on her Instagram page a photo of an X-ray of her wrist, which shows a flat metal plate and screws holding the broken bone as it heals.

“Last check up on the old wrist this morning!! Thanks, Dr. Wurth and my PT angel, Renee, a.k.a. “Bulldog” for fixing me up!!!,” she wrote. “I’m good to go!”

Carrie’s fall happened three months ago, but she’s yet to share any full images of her post-stitches face. However, a fan, reality star Adrienne Gang, took a photo with the country crooner in December.

In the photo, the former American Idol star had a wrist brace on her right arm, but there were no apparent injuries to her face. However, part of the left side of her face was not visible in the photo.

When fans asked about how the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer looked after the accident, Adrienne commented in tweet on Dec. 13 that “she looked amazing! ” and “I had no clue she was injured…”

Can “The Four” Reinvents Music Talent Shows: Review

Is Fox’s new show “The Four” living up the hype and can it reinvents the music talent show arena?

Music singing talent shows have been on the decline in the last few years so when the new show “The Four: Battle For Stardom ” was announced last year, everyone thought that it was going to breathe some new life into the declining reality TV format. The producers even got some big names for the judge’s chairs and tapped Black Eyed Peas member Fergie for the hosting duties. Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Walk took on the judges mantle.

The show aired its first episode on Thursday night on Fox and let’s say the reviews from viewers have been mostly disappointing. “The Four” didn’t just failed to grab viewers attention, it failed miserably, despite its promised to be a show unlike any other. “This is not like those other shows,” Diddy said. “I want this show to be a true reflection of the industry.”

Despite his claims that the show will not be anything like the now extinct American Idol or The Voice, it is every bit just the same, with just a few changes it the format that you will likely not notice if you’re an avid singing competition show viewer. One of the main unique features that you will likely notice is that the show starts out with a mere four contestants that we selected by the superstar judges before the live show. The show will be over six episodes where other artists are brought in to audition to battle each of the four contestants. The winner will be selected in the final episode and will be given a recording contract and be mentored by the judges. Three of these judges have their own labels so that is a big incentive to be a contestant on the show.

The original four was introduced to the audience on Thursday night and they are R&B crooner Blair Perkins, rapper Lex Lu, British pop singer Ash Minor, and Latin singer Elanase Lanson. At the very least, the show did away with the long and often drawn out audition process done by other shows like American Idol. Most of the OG talent shows produced very little mainstream success artists, so The Four is hoping to be the first show to produce more professional recording artists.

Fergie has revealed that the taping of the show was an emotional experience for her as she watched the struggle of the artists who are trying to make it big in the music business. “I know how it feels,” she said. “There are so many times that I was just tearing up and I am thinking in my head ‘Don’t lose it right now. Get it together. I can only speak for myself because I am standing right next to these artists. It was crushing. You see me holding the hand of somebody… and I am just their mommy up there. I can feel the nerves… the sweat, the shaking.’”

Nevertheless, the show is new and like a lot of new shows, it may just need some time to work its magic. Here are some of the reactions from viewers.

But no one’s given a good performance tonight? So what are we even talking about? This whole show is terrible. #TheFour

Let me just keep it a buck I WILL NEVER in my black ass life support any artist that rides the aesthetic of black art and music. Ma can take her oily dreads and fake vibes and bounce on babies #TheFour

Saeed just won the night. Any man who can deliver on a Whitney Houston song deserves a seat! #TheFour

…how did the 4 people already in the chairs get them? Did they compete beforehand? Are we going to get to see how they got those chairs and who they beat out to get them? I feel like it should’ve been shown before they came out to sing. #TheFour

Fergie Will Be Hosting Fox’s “The Four” TV Show

Fergie will be on FOX’s new show “The Four” as the host.

There were some talks that the former Black Eyed Peas singer/rapper would be joining the show as a judge but now she has confirmed via a video on Instagram that she will be the host. The judges for the new talent show includes Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Walk, so Fergie is the icing on the cake among some big name stars.

“I am very excited and proud to be the host of The Four: Battle for Stardom,” Fergie said Monday in a statement. “This is a unique and modern show format that I believe will set the standard for the next generation of singing competition series on TV. I am looking forward to being by the contestants’ sides during what could be the most important performances of their lives. Along with these amazing panelists whom I know and love, I hope my experiences as a solo artist and as a member of The Black Eyed Peas can help guide them in their quest to make it in the music industry.”

The Four has been dubbed the next big hit in talent TV show since American Idol came to an end in 2015. That show will be revived on ABC in March of next year, so this means that American Idol and The Four will likely go head to head for ratings. The show premieres on January 4th and will be aired live every Thursday for a once a week episode series.

FUTURISTIC – Somewhere In The Middle lyrics

Yeah, way too cool for the misfits
Way too weird for the cool kids
Way too short for the tall girl
Who sit three rows up in the blue chair
I don’t smoke enough for the stoners
I don’t pop enough for the ragers
I’m not smart enough for the brainiacs
And I can’t skate, there goes the skaters, damn
I don’t like drama, I can’t act
I don’t like to sing, so I rap
I don’t like to fight, they wanna scrap
I don’t sell drugs, they in a trap
Man, I like to ball, but I ain’t grow
I look good in pants, but I can’t throw
Man, I will play chess, but I don’t know how
Shoot, I’ma ’bout to figure it out

[Chorus]
I’m somewhere in the middle, yeah
I’m a little bit weird, I’m a little bit cool
I’m a little bit smart, I’m a little bit slow
I’m a whole lotta me, you should just be you
Somewhere in the middle, yeah
You a little bit off, you a little bit much
You a little bit strange, you a little messed up
You’re a whole lotta “What the f*ck?”
Somewhere in the middle, yeah
You can find me—somewhere in the middle, yeah (You can find me)
You can find me—somewhere in the middle, yeah
You can find me—somewhere in the middle, yeah (You can find me)
You can find me

[Verse 2]
Yo, grew up, ain’t a thing change
Too rich for my old friends
I wanna do cool sh*t with you, but you can’t leave your job
It sucks having no ends, so I paid for ’em
Too far from my dad’s house
I catch a flight then I’m right there, hm
I flew over my grandma’s house, then remembered she’s not there (damn)
In the club while they play my songs, see
People never heard it, they hating on me
I’m way too drunk, I got a temper like, “Fuck everybody that don’t know me! Blow me, bitch!”
Bad influence, so they say
But I know that I changed lives (changed lives)
Kids need truth, and I’m Paul Pierce (Paul Pierce)
Kids need answers, I’m AI (AI)
And I don’t like the industry (f*ck that)
That’s ’cause they never show me love (f*ck that)
I just count my money up, live my life, and take trips with a shoulder shrug
You couldn’t hold my buzz if you was Andy (sheesh)
But yet they wanna judge me like Randy? (What?)
I’ll take your American Idol who wanna rap and eat his ass like candy
Pause
Girl, this is the new edition, who you kiddin’?
Do envision, turn it into a daily sighting
Supposed to be rapping about drugs, but watching Survivor is more exciting
And I ain’t hype no more, so I’ma be sure if you need me that I’m right here
I’m in a gray area with my girl and the beer
She spread her legs, I’ma ’bout to be

[Outro]
You can find me
Somewhere in the middle, yeah
You can find me (you can find me)
You can find me
You can find me
Somewhere in the middle
