According to media reports, this will happen tonight
The military of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) called the possible time for the mass surrender of the fighters of the Ukrainian nationalist battalion “Aidar” (the organization was recognized as extremist, banned in Russia) from the Azot plant in Severodonetsk. According to their forecasts, this may happen in the late afternoon of June 23, TASS writes, citing a source close to the People's Militia of the Republic.
On June 20, Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko reported that there were up to 1,000 civilians at the Azot enterprise. He also stated that separate units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending the plant began to raise white flags and come out with the initiative to negotiate. According to him, the situation of the Ukrainian fighters who are surrounded is deplorable. “The ground is literally on fire,” Marochko shared the details.
Earlier it was reported that one of the commanders of the Aidar nationalist battalion was captured during the capture of the village of Metelkino near Severodonetsk. Together with him, several more servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered. According to a source in law enforcement agencies, two captured Ukrainian security officials were transported to Luhansk from the neighboring city of Severodonetsk, Rubizhne.
