Ex-adviser to Nazarbayev accused the special services of Kazakhstan of treason

According to Ermukhamet Yertysbayev, the riots in Kazakhstan would have been impossible without betrayal in the highest echelons of power, and he called the removal of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev from power as the probable goal of the conspirators

Ermukhamet Ertysbayev

For years, the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan (KNB) hid information about the training camps of militants in the country, said on the air of one of the channels of the national television news agency Khabar. former Minister of Information and ex-adviser to the first president of the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Ermukhamet Yertysbayev.

“ National betrayal and conspiracy is that for several years, it turns out, there were training camps. The National Security Committee, which periodically neutralized this or that group, was silent about the numerous training camps set up in the mountains. This is a terrible crime against the state '', & mdash; quotes the words of Ertysbayev on the Nur.kz Telegram channel.

Speaking about the riots that have occurred in Kazakhstan in recent days, the former minister noted that events of this magnitude (according to the current President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, only in Alma -Atu was attacked by 20 thousand bandits) were impossible without “ traitors in the highest echelons of power ''; and especially in law enforcement.

“ I have exclusive information that, for example, 40 minutes before the attack on the airport [Alma-Ata], an order was given to completely remove the cordon and guards. Can you imagine that the building of the KNB department, the most secure and guarded building in Alma-Ata, could be easily seized by terrorists? This could only happen with the direct connivance of those people who should be responsible for the national security of the country, '', & mdash; said Ertysbayev.

The ex-minister suggested that the purpose of the conspirators was to remove President Tokayev from power.

On Friday, January 7, Tokayev accused the country's special services of “ oversleeping ''; underground preparation of terrorist attacks.

in connection with the actions of law enforcement agencies and the army, as well as their interagency coordination. It is critical to understand why the state “ overslept '' underground preparation of terrorist attacks and sleeping cells of militants & raquo;, & mdash; said the president.

On January 5, Tokayev, by his decree, dismissed the chairman of the KNB Karim Massimov and his first deputy Samat Abish. Both Masimov, the former prime minister of Kazakhstan, and Abish, the nephew of the first president of the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev, were previously named possible candidates for the post of head of state.

On January 7, the Orda.kz edition announced the arrest of Abish. However, then the publication itself denied its news, explaining the incident by the fact that their source made a mistake.
